About the Firm

J. Richardson "Rich" Brannon who opened The Brannon Law Office in Gainesville, Georgia in the year of 1979, is a third generation trial lawyer following in the footsteps of his grandfather. The Brannon Law Office is a small law firm geared exclusively to litigation and the preparation of cases for jury trial in the practice areas of: medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, product's liability and criminal defense.

The Brannon Law Office has long been known for its character of special service provided to all clientele. Mr. Brannon personally represents each and every client at all legal proceedings. No other lawyer or staff member appears on behalf of Mr. Brannon. This personal service is due to the fact that over the years the majority of clients coming to The Brannon Law Office have come specifically requesting him as "lead counsel" in their civil and criminal trials and particularly do not want another attorney handling their courtroom matters. Mr. Brannon will personally prepare your case for trial, handle all pretrial matters, and prepare you, the client, and all witnesses for trial.

On January 3, 1978 Mr. Brannon was sworn in to the State Bar for the State of Georgia, and has remained a member in good standing throughout the years. Mr. Brannon has been a member of the Bar of the Northern District Court for the State of Georgia and the Bar of the Southern District Court for the State of Georgia, since 1990. He was sworn in as a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States of America on January 8, 1990. Mr. Brannon has been a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for many years. He has also served as the Regional Vice President for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.

J. Richardson Brannon is also a graduate of the "Trial Lawyer's College", a non-profit institution founded and directed by legendary Wyoming trial lawyer Gerry Spence. Attorney Spence is famous for his victories in the well-known and highly publicized cases of Karen Silkwood, former Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos, and Randy Weaver in the famous "Ruby Ridge Murder Case". Lawyers must go through a rigorous 4-6 months waiting period and are only accepted by invitation to attend the college. Lawyers are taught how to try cases on behalf of the people and learn many skills perfected by attorney Gerry Spence himself. Unless you represent "regular, everyday people" you have no chance to be accepted to the college. For example, if you represent big business, corporations, insurance companies, medical facilities, or the government you will not be accepted, because these entities are the very persons with whom you learn to do battle.

Mr. Brannon was honored to be asked to serve on the teaching staff of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer's College, and has remained on staff teaching "jury trial skills" to trial lawyers from all over the country. He also travels to Gerry Spence's Regional Seminars across the country to teach "jury trial skills" to other lawyers; hoping to assist them in taking on government, big business and large corporations in America. Which are skills he learned on behalf of his teachers at Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer's College.

Inclusion, Rich Brannon is a lifetime recipient in Strathmore's Who's Who which is limited to individuals who have demonstrated leadership and achievement in their profession. Mr. Brannon is also listed in the National Registry of Who's Who.

Mr. Brannon has frequently been a speaker and lecturer whenever asked.
